Prince Rupert is located on the north side of the mighty Skeena River, on Kaien Island at the mouth of a fjord. This pretty port city is surrounded by beautiful, still intact wilderness. Majestic, forested mountains, misty islands and an ocean rich in abundance, Prince Rupert is called "the City of Rainbows". By virtue of its location and the varied modes of transportation, Prince Rupert is a main gateway to the lands and waters of the four corners of the world. Fishing, forestry, transportation and tourism form the basis of this city's rich history and it's economy. Salmon fishing is outstanding, because all five species are present here for the sportsman.

This Northern BC city (pop. 16,000) is a port for cruise ships heading to Alaska and for the British Columbia Ferry Corporation sailing through the scenic Inside Passage to Vancouver Island. Ferries also take travelers to the Queen Charlotte Islands, the scenic homeland of the Haida people. Prince Rupert is a wonderful place for walking along the waterfront, past its several fish canneries, ships' chandlers and colorful fishing boats. For an indoor adventure, one of the top attractions is the Museum of Northern British Columbia, which has an excellent collection of modern regional aboriginal art, artifacts as old as 10,000 years and a totem carving shed.

Scenic Cow Bay is home of Rusbrook Docks, where your charter begins, as well as the Yacht Club, Smile's Restaurant, Breaker's Pub, boutiques and specialty stores. There are many interesting things to see and do along Cow Bay.
